Angel loves the new chair, even if it was for Lola.
A blog about our furkids-animals that needed a second chance. And in truth, we did not rescue them...they rescued us.

New bed part 2
Lola LOVES the new bed. She is really hoping Reba doesn't destroy it. Yes she is wearing a sweater, she loves to stay warm.
New bed
We got a new dog bed this weekend..we have been waiting because they destroyed the last 3. But Reba seems to be better with her chewing. The bed isn't that big but she still got on it. They all love it! So far so good.

The dreaded phone call
So a few days ago I missed a call, then got a text that read:
"Your horses are running loose!"
As a horse owner that is not a call you want. And all I could picture was them running like they were in the Kentucky Derby like they did before I owned them and they got out at the old house. I raced home to find them both back in the pasture with my father in laws there. Apparently only Jack had gotten out-somehow he had opened the gate without breaking the chain. He got out and was running around, eating grass and playing with the dogs. He had a great time and luckily stayed on our property!!!!!!!! Savannah stayed in the barn the whole time. Jack is very playful and a big goofball. He is smart too, he always stands by the gate. Maybe he has been watching us open it. The gate is fixed and he won't be getting out again. I told him Santa was not bringing him anything this year and now every morning when I leave I remind him that I don't need any calls at work about him. Kids!

For me?
Last Christmas we had Snort-and I wanted to share a picture with you. Snort loved firewood. When we got our tree he was so excited. I really think he thought we got it just for him. We put it up and then a few minutes later this is what we found....him curled up next to it napping. I can't help but laugh thinking about it and about him plowing his big face into all the presents trying to smell them. He was a very special dog and we miss him very much.
