Meet Magnolia

First I want to let everyone know the posts have been sparse because I am so busy at work. Also, we lost Patty a month or so ago. We believe it was a heart attack. She was old, especially for a bloodhound, and she passed away quickly in Patrick's arms.

Last week I walked into work and my coworker said he had to show me something. I was really praying it was a bird's nest as he opened the back door. Of course not! It was this poor dog curled up in our pine straw shaking. Our building is down a dead end road and next to the highway. Not sure how she got here but I do know that she was terrified, cold and hungry. She jumped when I first petted her. But as I talked to her she became more at ease and even gave me a kiss. She loves to kiss. I brought her inside and text my husband a picture. His response was NO. But she was skin and bones and covered in ticks. I called him and convinced him and off the vet we went. Poor thing passed out asleep in my truck. She didn't have a micro chip so I had them give her shots. Again on the way home she passed out asleep.

Since Patty's death, Huffy has been by himself and not very happy. So we slowly introduced him to Magnolia and boy was he happy!!!!!!!!!!!! She was tired and uneasy the first day but when I went to see here the next day she was jumping on me and giving me more kisses. She is the sweetest girl. We think she has a lot of pit bull in her. I don't know where she came from but I am so thankful she found me.

Play time on the couch

The girls love the couch...as  you can see it was pretty old and worn out from them. We finally got a new one that is leather. They don't really like it but will sit on it. Of course they will cause they are way too spoiled to sit on the floor or a dog bed!

Little Angels

NOT! Just a rare moment of them being good.
