Sneak attack

Minnie and Lola argue, a lot. You can give them the same toy and they will still argue. Here Minnie is eyeballing Lola's toy when Minnie's is right there I'm sure. Minnie might be bigger but Lola takes no crap from her.

Hard hard life....

Someone really forgot to tell Reba she is big enough to be an outside puppy. Just a cute picture of her and Lola snoozing on the couch. Lola is on the heating pad. They are brats!! But it's our fault.

Reba and her big girl bed

Dear Grandma,
This is Reba-thank you so much for my big girl bed. I tried really hard to fit on one of the other beds you sent but for some reason it didn't work out too well. Not sure why-I mean I am 7 pounds like Lola and Minnie right?!?

The divas have learned to share the heating pad!! Lola isn't thrilled but she did it.

Dog beds

The girls would like to say a big thank you to their great grandparents for the dog beds!! I haven't gotten pictures of the littles one in them yet but as you can see Missy loves them and Reba tries to fit in them. She really thinks she is a small dog.

I really don't care how big you are...

I know Reba looks kinda mean in these pictures but she isn't. She loves Minnie, if any of the other dogs or even us fusses at Minnie, Reba is right there. They play a lot and we watch them but Reba is so gentle with her. And Minnie-she doesn't care if Reba is 60 pounds bigger than her!

Not much to blog about lately...

Sorry for no posts, just not a whole lot going on.

Let's see-Minnie is still healing from getting spayed. That has been really fun trying to keep her calm-NOT. She is obsessed with Bullet. She really wants to play with him. I think he is scared of her because she looks like a big mouse but if he knew she was a dog he would smack her. She is also obsessed with Angel. She drives Angel crazy wanting to play with her. She will bark at Angel, Angel growls and then Reba has to come over because she is the great Chihuahua protector! Oh, Minnie has learned the treat word. When we are desperate to get her in it works like a charm. I swear she is laughing at us when she runs around the yard going 60 mph and won't let us catch her.

Missy is well still Missy. She doesn't want to stay outside much since it has cooled off. Overall she is doing well but she still has her moments that she just snaps.

Reba has decided she would just like to sleep on the couch all day. She hates hot weather but since she is part Husky you would think she likes the cooler weather. Wrong-she just wants to sleep on the couch.

Angel is doing well and does a pretty good job at ignoring Minnie. Sometimes though she just has had enough. Angel got a mole the other day in the yard. She knew I was coming to get it so she put the whole thing in her mouth and we could only get her to drop it by bribing her with a treat. Gross.
I guess she is 10 or 11 now-I wasn't sure how old she was when I adopted her so that's a guess. I really hope we have her for a lot longer. She is my buddy and I love her very much.

Lola, well she is just a brat. Her dad turned on the heating pad and she is content to sleep on it all day. She doesn't even want to go outside to go potty. Minnie hasn't figured it out yet but I suspect when she does we are going to have a Chihuahua war.

The horses are good, Jack is still goofy. He woke us up at 2:30 the other morning playing with Spot. He was swinging his head back and forth with his tongue hanging out so Spot was barking which woke up Minnie who then woke us all up. Good times!

Minnie got spayed!

Minnie got spayed the other day. She was not real happy to go to the vet. But he said she did great. You should of seen me bringing in her bed and blankets. I didn't want her to get cold overnight!! These were taken on the way home. Normally she is in a carrier but she got so excited when we picked her up she peed in it. I think she was still a little drugged up just by her face in these...ever that or she was just really happy we picked her up. She has been through so much and is only 6 months old.

Crazy little dog

When we first got Minnie she was skin and bones, it was really sad. The people who had her didn't feed her a lot and we think when they did they fed her people food. When you eat she gets really sweet and likes to give you hugs. She wraps her paws around her neck and is very cute but all she is doing is trying to get food. Our dogs, including her, do not get table scraps. But she still tries her hardest.

Sweater time!!!

It has cooled off a lot here and we are all loving the weather. The little divas get cold though and we put their sweaters on this weekend. Thank you Grandma and PaPa! Lola is fine putting hers on but Minnie is a nightmare. I think because the people that had her made her wear shirts that were too small. Once she has it on though she likes it and can go outside with the big girls. Side note-I keep telling Reba this is husky weather but she just looks at me and sleeps on the couch.

Daddy's jacket

Sorry for not posting lately, got sick and then my office moved so it's been a fun few weeks.
Here are some pictures of the little ones and their Daddy's jacket. They love it. Minnie curls up and sleeps there in the mornings while her and Dad wake up. She is hard to see but Lola is in the first picture also.

I guess because she is so small, Minnie loves to perch on things and check everyone out. Below is  a picture of her new favorite spot. But we are scared she will fall so we always get her down.

The best 94 cents we ever spent

We don't spend a lot on toys because they don't last with Reba. We do splurge and buy her big rope toys every now and again. We found these furry toys at a local store for 97 cents!!!!!! So if they do get torn up it is okay. They are little so we got them for Lola and Minnie but if we are not careful Reba will grab one. Usually we give them to the little ones when Reba and Missy are outside. They LOVE them! The one in the picture is a turtle. They are worth every penny.

Meet Lily

We are not sure what kind of dog Lily is but she is a great dog. About 2 1/2 years ago I got an email about Lily. It basically said she needed a home or she was going to the pound. This was right around Christmas. I talked my husband, my boyfriend at the time, into taking her. So we went and got her and brought her to my house. We looked at her paperwork and she had just been adopted two months prior from the pound. The girl got her and then realized she didn't have time for her.

Right away she snapped at Angel but we thought she was nervous. My husband took her to his house about 2 hours away and she lived with him, Missy, Kristen and my father in law for awhile. Everything was okay for months but then it got bad. Lily is very aggressive with female dogs. It got so bad we had to put her outside with Spot. When we built the house we tried to have her live inside with Angel and Missy but she got so aggressive it scared me. So Lily lives outside in a big yard, with a huge house and her buddy Spot. Spot loves the company even if she is really bossy.

Lucky

So Lucky is now almost 9 months old and he is so big. It will be interesting to see how big he gets when he starts to fill out as he gets older. Him and his momma are together-he is a lot bigger than her now. They do well but he steals her treats. Hard to believe I was bottle feeding him not too long ago and that Lola was sitting on top of him to keep him warm.

Tired puppy

Missy spent almost all weekend outside loving this weather. Reba who hates the hot and wanted to sit on the couch all summer has decided that even though it has cooled off a lot she still wants to sit on the couch all day.

Cooler weather and grass!!!

It has cooled down a lot here and all of the animals are loving it. The horses are able to spend more time in our second pasture and enjoy all of the grass. They spend a few hours at a time over there and we always know when they want to head back to the barn because Jack stands at the gate.

Can I get a few more beds please?

We stacked the beds up to sweep and found Lola sitting on three of them. She is the diva!

Rare moment

Missy was outside and we were busy around the house..then we see this. A rare moment of calmness at our place with 4 of our 5 girls sitting together. Awwwwwwwwwwww.

When we first got Reba we knew she would be a big dog and my husband wanted to put her outside but I said no! She has the best tempermant and it is truly a blessing. She loves the little ones.

Reba doesn't get to sleep in the bed at night so she gets on it every chance she can.
